Beer & Classic Vehicle Weekend — Aln Valley Railway
A weekend of real ale and classic vehicles at the heritage railway. Enjoy beer tastings and admire vintage cars alongside steam and diesel train rides. Saturday and Sunday.
About This Event
The Aln Valley Railway is a heritage railway based at Lionheart Station on the western edge of Alnwick. A community-led preservation project, the railway society was formed in 1995 and passenger services began in 2014, running approximately 1.5 miles along the original Alnwick branch line — which first opened in 1850 and closed in 1968 following the Beeching cuts. The Beer and Classic Vehicle Weekend combines two of the railway's most popular attractions. Visitors can browse a display of classic and vintage cars and bikes alongside the heritage locomotives, while sampling real ales at the on-site beer festival. It is a relaxed, family-friendly weekend set against the backdrop of the Northumberland countryside — a perfect combination of steam, chrome and craft beer. Entry to the classic vehicle show is free.
