About This Event

The Newcastle Garrison Live History Group brings its replica Napoleonic cannon to Alnwick Castle for a day of live firing demonstrations. Hourly firings run through the day, with the group on hand to explain the history and workings of the weapon. The demonstrations take place on 5 September 2026, with hourly firings from 11am, and are included with standard castle admission. It is one of several living-history days in the castle's autumn programme.
