Part of the wider Oxfam GB charity retail network, it raises funds for the charity's work tackling poverty and inequality around the world. The shop is staffed largely by local volunteers and forms part of Narrowgate's mix of independent boutiques, galleries and cafes, making it a natural stop for browsers exploring this characterful corner of the town centre.

Stock is drawn entirely from public donations and includes quality pre-loved clothing, books, music and homewares, alongside greetings cards and Fair Trade lines. Donations of clothing, books, music and homewares are welcomed in store, and Oxfam also offers a free postal donation service for those who prefer to give from home. The shop is open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and closed on Sundays. Volunteers are always welcome, whether helping on the shop floor, sorting stock or assisting with online sales.
