Alnwick Music Society brings former BBC Young Musician of the Year Emma Johnson to the Playhouse for a clarinet and piano recital with Gregory Drott. Johnson is one of the few clarinettists to build a career as a solo performer, with around 30 recordings to her name, an MBE and the Cobbett Medal for services to chamber music. Her partner Gregory Drott is a concert pianist, conductor, organist and composer who also teaches at Cambridge. The programme includes operatic showpieces such as a Rigoletto Fantasy and variations on Mozart's La ci darem la mano. The concert is part of the society's 2026-27 season, and season tickets offer a saving.
