Hadestown: The Musical (screening)
Big-screen showing of the Tony Award-winning musical Hadestown, filmed live on stage in London's West End.
About This Event
Hadestown, winner of eight Tony Awards in 2019 including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album, comes to the big screen at Alnwick Playhouse. The genre-defying show blends modern American folk with New Orleans-inspired jazz to retell the intertwining love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice, and King Hades and his wife Persephone. This broadcast theatre screening was filmed live in London's West End and features the original Broadway stars. It is shown in the Playhouse Studio on Sunday 18 October at 4.15pm; ticket prices are on the Playhouse booking page.
