The Strawberry Lounge is a family-run cafe and smoothie bar tucked away down an alley off Narrowgate in Alnwick, close to the Castle. Small and full of character, it has natural stone walls and an open fire that give it a cosy, welcoming feel, with only a handful of tables in its intimate setting. Something of a hidden gem off the main street, it is warmly reviewed and consistently ranks among the town's most highly rated places to eat.

Everything is homemade and freshly prepared on the premises each day, and the cafe is best known for its wide selection of scones, including gluten-free versions baked in-house. The menu ranges from light bites and quiches through to burgers and afternoon tea, with a large choice of homemade cakes and freshly made smoothies.
