About Alnwick Dolphins Swimming Club

Alnwick Dolphins Swimming Club is a family- and volunteer-run competitive amateur swimming club based at Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre on Willowburn Avenue in Alnwick. Affiliated to Swim England through the ASA North East region, the club takes swimmers from around the age of seven through to young adulthood and provides a pathway from learn-to-swim lessons into structured competitive training. Its stated values are passion, belief, dedication, respect and teamwork.

The club runs a squad system, with starter squads and progression to higher levels based on ability against minimum criteria; places are limited, so squads prioritise swimmers who meet the required standards. Members train to compete at local, regional and national levels, taking part in galas and competitions through the season. The club is supported locally, including sponsorship from AlnCom.
