About Alnwick Town Council Allotments (St George's)

The St George's allotments are one of four allotment sites managed by Alnwick Town Council, which together provide over 130 individual plots across the town. The St George's site lies between Victoria Road and St George's Crescent, off Wagonway Road, and contains 13 plots. The Town Council took over management of its allotments from Northumberland County Council in 2013, and the sites give residents the chance to grow their own fruit, vegetables and flowers within the town.

The St George's site has water access on-site, and plots are let to residents within the Town Council's operational area on an annual basis. Prospective tenants complete an application form and are placed on a waiting list, receiving acknowledgement and details of their position; demand means the sites are generally at capacity, with wait times varying by location. The council's other allotment sites are at Ratten Row, St James's and Cawledge View, offering further options for those seeking a plot in and around Alnwick.
