Bailiffgate Museum & Gallery
Volunteer-run museum and gallery telling the story of Alnwick and district across 10,000 years. Housed in a beautiful Grade II listed church.
About Bailiffgate Museum & Gallery
Bailiffgate Museum & Gallery occupies a beautiful Grade II listed former church on Bailiffgate, just a short walk from the castle. Run entirely by volunteers, it tells the story of Alnwick and the surrounding district across 10,000 years of history through a mix of permanent and temporary exhibitions. The galleries cover everything from the town's medieval origins and its role in the Border wars to the local industries that shaped the region. The museum also hosts regular art exhibitions, talks, and events. A small but excellent museum that brings Alnwick's rich history to life — and admission is very reasonably priced.
