About St James' United Reformed Church

St James' is the United Reformed Church congregation in Alnwick, based on Pottergate in the centre of the town. It is a welcoming church with a congregation of around sixty members that includes young families as well as several elderly members, reflecting a broad cross-section of the local community. Sunday worship is held at 10:30am and again at 6pm, with Communion celebrated on the first Sunday of alternate months through the year, and the church marks the wider Christian calendar with Holy Week and Easter services.

Beyond Sunday worship, St James' hosts an active programme of groups and events that give it a strong community role. These include a walking group, indoor bowling clubs, a prayer group, Christians Together coffee mornings, and Tea and Chat gatherings, along with charity fundraising events.
