Yan's
Cantonese restaurant and takeaway on Bondgate Within serving a wide-ranging menu of Chinese dishes at good prices. A long-established Alnwick favourite.
About Yan's
Yan's is a long-established, family-run Cantonese restaurant and takeaway at 10 Bondgate Within, in the heart of Alnwick and only a short walk from Alnwick Castle. A local favourite of many years' standing, it serves traditional Cantonese cooking in a clean, unfussy dining room with a friendly, casual atmosphere, offering both sit-in meals and takeaway for those eating at home.
The menu is wide-ranging and generously portioned, and the kitchen caters carefully for different diets: it offers a genuinely vegan-friendly selection where vegetarian dishes are prepared without animal products, as well as a fully gluten-free menu using gluten-free soy sauce. Open six days a week, from Wednesday through to Monday, it remains a dependable town-centre choice for Chinese food, valued by regulars for its warm welcome, attentive staff and consistent cooking.
